At first glance the Shark Steam Mop is one of the best steam mops out there. It has a small, lightweight and compact frame. It heats its water quickly and is up and running in 10 seconds flat and costs a lot less than most other steam mops out there. However, it doesn’t mean that this unit isn’t without its flaws. Sure, it’s inexpensive, light and heats up quickly. But it also doesn’t produce a whole lot of steam for its size. And you know what that means? It can’t handle some of the bigger or tougher jobs.
That’s not to say that this mop doesn’t have its strong points, however. It does have an extra long cord that allows users to avoid having to unplug and plug the unit in. It’s also easy to push around since it weighs around 3 pounds. It also does a decent job of disinfecting—after all, it’s capable of destroying 99.99 percent of the bacteria on your floor. It’s just not capable of cutting through sticky messes on the same floor.
While this device may suffer from poor design, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have any value whatsoever. It is one of the cheapest steam mops on the market. For that point alone, many people will be content purchasing this mop and putting up with its limitations.
